Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal information, and your rights under POPIA.

1. Who we are

Mind Renovation Press publishes the work of Neil Demas, including the book "You Don't Have a Money Problem", the Mind Renovation podcast and this website. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy, as that term is used in South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@mindrenovation.press.

2. What information we collect

Subscribers and diagnostic users: your name, email address, the consent choices you make, your diagnostic score and band if you choose to have it emailed, the page you signed up from, and campaign attribution parameters (such as utm_source) if present in the link you arrived on.

Customers: your first and last name, email address, mobile number, the edition and quantity you ordered, your delivery choice, and your delivery address if you choose courier delivery.

Payments: we do not collect or store your card, bank or wallet details. Payments are processed by PayFast, and we receive only a payment reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.

Analytics: we record non-identifying funnel events such as "an order was started" together with campaign attribution. We do not put your name, email address, phone number, address or payment data into analytics.

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

To deliver what you asked for: sending your diagnostic result or free ebook, fulfilling your order, arranging collection or courier, and answering your queries. This is processing necessary to conclude and perform our agreement with you.

To send marketing emails: only if you gave separate, optional marketing consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your order.

To meet legal and accounting obligations: keeping records of sales as South African law requires.

4. Consent, and how to withdraw it

Our forms ask for two things separately. The first is permission to email you what you requested and anything needed to complete your order — without this we cannot deliver. The second, entirely optional, is permission to send you Mind Renovation marketing emails.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing hello@mindrenovation.press. We will action it promptly.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with operators who help us run this business, and only as far as they need it:

PayFast (payment processing), our email delivery provider (sending your result, receipts and any marketing you consented to), our hosting and database provider (storing subscriber and order records), our courier partner (name, contact number and delivery address, where you chose courier delivery), and Airtable if used by our operations team to manage fulfilment.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

6. Cross-border transfers

Some of our providers process information on servers outside South Africa. Where that happens we rely on providers that are subject to laws or binding agreements offering protection substantially similar to POPIA.

7. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as South African tax and company law requires. Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which we keep only the minimum needed to honour your opt-out.

8. How we protect it

Personal information is stored in an access-controlled database that is not readable from the public website. Subscriber and order records can only be read by trusted server code and the password-protected internal dashboard. Payment pages are served by PayFast over encrypted connections, and payment notifications are cryptographically verified before we act on them.

9. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date or unlawfully obtained, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it.

Email hello@mindrenovation.press and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a competent person.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We use your browser's own storage to remember functional things such as your campaign attribution for the current session and whether an internal dashboard session is unlocked. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page. Material changes affecting how we contact you will be communicated by email where we have your consent to do so.
